Dr. Ed Greer

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Greer grew up as the child of a veterinarian, Dr. Les Greer. It was in his dad’s veterinary hospital that a respect for the profession, and a love for the clients and their pets was born in Dr. Greer. A proud native Mobilian, Dr. Greer graduated from St. Ignatius, later graduated from St. Paul’s, then attended Auburn University before obtaining a DVM in 2004 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. It was in St. Kitts that he met his future wife and business partner, and together they dreamed of starting their own veterinary hospital.

That dream was realized in 2006, and Dr. Greer is proud to have served his clients and patients for almost 20 years. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Greer enjoys fishing and spending time on the water with his kids, Grace and Win.

Dr. Laura Greer

Owner/Hospital Manager

Dr. Laura’s love of animals began at a young age as a child growing up on a farm in Millboro, Virginia. Raised among cattle, horses, dogs, and cats, she was always eager to help out with the animals when needed. Often help was needed in assisting the veterinarians that were called to the farm, and that’s when her career choice was made.

Dr. Laura graduated high school at Chatham Hall in Chatham, Virginia in 1992. She continued on to obtain a BA degree at Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia in 1996, and then earned her DVM in 2006 at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts. It was in St. Kitts that she met Dr. Greer, and their dream of owning their own veterinary clinic in his hometown evolved.

Today the Greers have 2 children, Grace and Win, and 2 feline children named Olive and Kili. Dr. Laura has assumed the role of Practice Manager and handles staff management, marketing, accounting, and regulatory requirements for the hospital. When not managing the hospital Dr. Laura enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and snow skiing.

Hi, I’m Tanner and I am a south Alabama native who grew up on a cattle farm in Grand Bay.  I’m proud to be a Fear Free Certified Professional which means that I will work to give you and your pet an exceptional visit by honing in on their physical and emotional well-being.  Other than being around animals from a young age, I’ve developed experience in multiple areas involving our pets.  From volunteering at animal shelters, to assisting with manners training for dogs, to working the cattle at the farm, I am well-versed in all things ‘animal’.  I’m most proud of my knowledge of canine behavior and body language to make each vet visit the most enjoyable experience for your pet.  I look forward to providing positive experiences for you and your pet.

My name is Breanna, but I go by Bree.  I have been a Kennel Technician at the Animal Hospital of Mobile since March 2022.  I am native to Mobile, and graduated from Mary G Montgomery High School in 2021.  I grew up with a variety of exotic pets, and am now proud owner of 4 dogs.

Savannah

Hi, my name is Savannah. I am a recent resident of Mobile, brought here by my husband’s career in the Coast Guard. We have 4 active working breeds and love to compete in all things dog sports in our free time. My love for animals started young and I’ve loved all the fields I’ve been able to be a part of. I have a big heart for animal rescue and we always have a 5th dog as a foster and love to rescue and rehabilitate. I look forward to learning more and growing in a new field.
